BATTERIE is the brainchild of Jared Underwood; award winning musician, composer and graduate of the Sydney Conservatorium of Music and Australian Film Radio and Television School. Performance highlights have been supporting New York art rock band Gang Gang Dance at the Sydney Opera House, opening for cult Japanese group CIBO MATTO, playing ART BAR at The Museum Of Contemporary Art and most recently SQUARE SOUNDS in Melbourne.
BATTERIE has composed music for indie games including OTTTD, One More Dash and One More Line (12 million downloads). BATTERIE was a guest speaker at the APRA High Score game music conference in 2017 and the GCAP 2017 gaming conference.
Jared was the winner of TropScore 2013, performing his winning score live to 80,000 people at TROPFEST in the Domain. He has composed music for fashion films, performance art groups, TV commercials, 360 videos, and the National Geographic Channel.
He has been nominated for two ARIA awards as a member of art pop group CODA, playing Vivid Sydney, Woodford Folk festival, The Big Day Out and more. Jared was a founding member of Sydney band PROP whose members went on to form The Presets and Boy & Bear.
