Q: Do I need to be over 18 to attend the Melbourne Sessions?
A: Yes, the event is 18 + only.
Q: What does a Melbourne Sessions ticket get me?
A: Access to attend the full day program which includes an international keynote address (In Conversation), a Business Panel session, followed by Masterclasses which will lead into songwriting Workshops. A curated performance will close out the event, followed by networking drinks after the performance.
Q: Can I bring my own instruments/equipment?
A: Yes! We encourage people to bring their own instruments or equipment so they can make the most of their songwriting sessions.
Q: Are tickets for The Melbourne Sessions on sale yet?
A: Tickets will be available for purchase on Thursday 14 March 2019.
Q: Can I choose which classes to participate in by selecting the mentor/artist involved?
A: You will have the opportunity to select the genre and skill-based workshops you are most interested in. However, there are no guarantees that you will be placed with a specific mentor/artist.
Q: Can I purchase a ticket for one session of the day only?
A: Tickets are only available for the full day of programmed events.
Q: When will my tickets be sent to me?
A: Your tickets will be issued via email in the weeks leading up to the event.
Q: I can no longer attend The Melbourne Sessions, can I get a refund?
A: Refunds will be issued until Friday 21 June. Any cancellations after this date will not be issued a refund.
Q: Is there dedicated parking for the event?
A: Yes, please see Event Info for further information.
Q: Is there an ATM on site?
A: No. There are EFT services at the café should you want to purchase any additional food or drinks throughout the day.
Q: Can you accommodate my dietary requirements?
A: Yes, you will have the opportunity to indicate if you require vegan, vegetarian, non-dairy, or gluten-free options upon ticket purchase. A variety of options will also be available at the cafe located at the entrance of venue.
Q: Is there wheelchair access at the venue?
A: Yes, the venue and all studios within are wheelchair accessible, with a lift to the second level and an accessible toilet. Please get in touch if you have special access requirements.
TERMS & CONDITIONS
Payment, Refunds and Cancellations
Payment can be made by Credit/Debit Card.
If you are unable to attend the event for any reason, you may cancel prior to Friday 21 June, 2019 with no charges incurred. All cancellations must be received in writing to firstname.lastname@example.org before close of business on Friday 21 June, 2019.
Service of Alcohol
Alcohol will be served/available for purchase at this event and as such, you may be requested to show proof of age for service of alcohol.
Right of Refusal
APRA AMCOS reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to limit or deny access to the event to any entity or individual. APRA AMCOS’s receipt of an application and payment does not constitute acceptance of your application by APRA AMCOS until some form of acknowledgement or acceptance is sent (i.e. confirmation email); applications and payment that are not accepted will be returned within 30 days of receipt.
Filming & Photography
Some sessions will be filmed & photographed for both archive & for promotion in future events. By purchasing a ticket to The Melbourne Sessions 2019, you agree to being filmed & photographed at the event and that all footage and photographs may be used by or on behalf of APRA AMCOS in relation to the marketing, advertising and promotion of the Melbourne Session events.
Participants are not permitted to film or take photographs at The Melbourne Sessions 2019 without prior written approval from APRA AMCOS.
Releases and Indemnities
You release, waive, discharge all claims against APRA AMCOS, its employees, volunteers and agents, howsoever arising for loss or injury of any description howsoever caused which you may suffer or sustain at The Melbourne Sessions 2019; and you indemnify APRA AMCOS, its employees, volunteers and agents from and against all claims made against APRA AMCOS, its employees, volunteers and agents as a result of your attendance at the Melbourne Sessions.
APRA AMCOS uses the personal information provided by you for the purpose of enabling your attendance at this event, identifying your needs and tailoring our contact with you to provide a better client/customer experience. APRA AMCOS may disclose your personal information to third party service providers, for example mailing houses, event organisers and sponsors for these purposes.
APRA AMCOS will not disclose your personal information to any other third party without your consent except when we are required to do so by law or as permitted under the Act. At no time will any financial information you provide to APRA AMCOS (eg. credit card details) be released to any additional third parties.
