THE MELBOURNE SESSIONS
The Melbourne Sessions is a one day event offering masterclasses, workshops and networking opportunities for emerging and mid-career songwriters.
In a competitive music industry the art of songwriting remains an essential and enduring skill for success. The Victorian Government through Creative Victoria and APRA AMCOS have partnered to present a program for songwriters and composers across genres who want to hone their songwriting skills and build their local and international networks.
In this unique opportunity for professional development, songwriters will:
- have access to top local and international music creators
- be inspired and gain valuable skills to improve their songwriting craft
- come together over a communal lunch and post-event drinks to connect with the creative community.
The Melbourne Sessions includes dedicated professional development sessions for screen composers, and opportunities for them to expand their business and creative networks and develop their community.
Held on Friday 6 July 2018 at Kindred Studios, 3 Harris St, Yarraville, the event includes a keynote address (In Conversation with US music producer Warryn Campbell), Masterclasses, songwriting Workshops, and a curated performance to close out the event. See Speakers & Artists for more information on our program leaders.
